About the Role
As part of the Spendesk Finance team, reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will play a key role in managing vendor relationships across the company while supporting strategic financial services partnerships.
In this dynamic role, you will lead procurement activities for general business vendors while providing operational support for our tier-1 financial service partnerships (Visa, Adyen, Wise, etc.). You'll help drive value through effective vendor management, cost optimization, and operational excellence across our entire supplier portfolio
Key Responsibilities
General Procurement & Vendor Management (60%)
- Vendor Negotiations: Lead end-to-end negotiations with vendors across all company categories (SaaS, IT infrastructure, professional services, office services, etc.)
- Sourcing Management: Manage RFP processes for new vendor selection, including requirement gathering, proposal evaluation, and commercial negotiation
- Vendor Portfolio Oversight: Manage relationships with company-wide vendors, focusing on performance optimization, cost reduction, and contract compliance
- Contract Management: Negotiate and manage vendor contracts including pricing, payment terms, SLAs, and renewal terms
- Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor consolidation, competitive benchmarking, and commercial renegotiations
- Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with internal teams (IT, Operations, Marketing, HR, etc.) to understand procurement needs and deliver solutions
Financial Services Partnership Support (40%)
- Operational Support: Support the Head of Procurement in managing relationships with 20+ financial service providers
- Business-as-Usual Management: Handle day-to-day partnership activities including:
- Regular reporting and performance tracking
- Regulatory reporting and compliance documentation
- Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) coordination and follow-up
- Vendor communication and information requests
- Performance Monitoring: Implement and maintain KPI tracking for financial service partnerships covering financial metrics, operational SLAs, and compliance requirements
- EOSP/DORA Compliance: Support regulatory compliance activities including documentation, audit preparation, and vendor risk assessments
- Strategic Partnership Assistance: Assist the Head of Procurement with strategic financial services partnerships, including research, analysis, and project coordination
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, consulting or strategic sourcing, ideally in a Tech or fast-growing environment
- Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successful vendor negotiations and contract management
- Analytical Capabilities: Strong Excel and data analysis skills with ability to build business cases and financial models
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders
- Language: Fluent English required; French is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Fintech Experience: Previous experience in fintech, banking, or financial services environment is a strong plus
- Payment Industry Knowledge: Understanding of payment processors, card networks, or financial technology infrastructure
- Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with financial services regulations and compliance requirements
- Process Optimization: Experience with procurement process improvement and automation tools
- Additional Languages: Other European languages are a plus
